Activate Your NetID

Congratulations on your admission to UW–Oshkosh! Your next step is to activate your university email account. By doing this, you are creating your Net ID and password. This login is very important. It will allow you to sign up for on-campus housing, log into your email account, utilize a computer lab on campus, and so much more. Please follow the steps below to activate your account.

UW–Oshkosh Titan Email and Calendar

Now that you have your Net ID and password, be sure to check your Titan email account often for important updates on your next steps including financial aid, housing and more.

All UW–Oshkosh students use Office 365/Outlook for their email and calendar.

How to Apply

Activating Your Account:

Go to https://portal.office.com/ on your personal device.

Type in your university email address and click Next or press the Enter key. Your university email address was sent to you shortly after holding your spot.

Type in your 7-digit campus ID number in the Password field. Click Next or press the Enter key.

You will then be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA).

After setting up MFA, you will be taken to a screen where you can change your password.

Reenter your 7-digit campus ID number in the current password field.

Type in a new password using 14 characters, and at least 3 of the 4 following types. Your password can not contain your username or your full ID number.

  • Uppercase
  • Lowercase
  • Number
  • Special Character
