Why join the Honors College

Get priority access to classes each semester so you can build a schedule that works for you.

Honors courses are capped at 12–20 students, giving you more discussion, more feedback and more connection with faculty.

Work one-on-one with a dedicated advisor to map your path and stay on track.

Complete a two-semester Honors thesis or project with faculty mentorship.

Earn Honors credit while studying abroad during January or May interims.

Live with other Honors students in a focused, supportive environment.

Honors Core

  • HNRS 175: Honors Seminar
  • HNRS 275: Culture Connection
  • Capstone: thesis or senior seminar

Honors Electives

Small, Honors-only versions of general education courses that allow for deeper discussion and closer collaboration with faculty.

Study Abroad through Honors

Earn Honors credit while studying abroad through short-term programs offered in January and May.

One popular option, HNRS 275: Culture Connection Abroad, takes you to global cities like London, Paris and Edinburgh, where you explore art, culture and communication in real-world settings.

This three-week program, offered during January and May interims, allows you to complete a core requirement while studying in cities like London, Paris and Edinburgh.

You’ll experience theater, music and museums firsthand while building your communication skills through collaborative projects. It’s a flexible way to earn credit, explore new places and broaden your perspective.
