The MBA program at UW-Oshkosh comprises 36 credits, designed to enhance your leadership, analytical and strategic decision-making skills. Our integrative curriculum combines fundamental business principles with advanced coursework, preparing you to lead with an innovative, solution-oriented approach.
At the start of the program, you dive into what we call “entry and tools courses,” which lay the foundational knowledge for financial reporting, economics, data analytics and effective communication. Your core classes then progress into more niche disciplines, such as strategic cost management, marketing, human resources, supply chain management and more.
Along the way, UWO’s expert faculty inspire and guide your professional development as they share their industry expertise and help you apply it to real business challenges.

Program Schedule
Our master’s in business administration program attracts ambitious professionals like you with a wide range of backgrounds and goals. Designed to fit your busy schedule, our program combines in-class sessions one night a week with flexible online and hybrid learning options, giving you the best of both worlds.
We enhance your learning experience by keeping class sizes small—capped at 30 students—for more focused engagement. This gives you greater opportunities to connect with classmates and receive personalized attention from your professors.
Online Data Analytics Certificate
Elevate your career future and sharpen your critical thinking by earning your Online Data Analytics Certificate. This graduate-level certificate helps you gain in-demand skills, like statistical analysis, pre-processing data and risk evaluation, in just nine months and set yourself apart as a competitive job candidate.
Admission Prerequisites
At UW-Oshkosh, we take a holistic approach to admissions. To be considered for our Master of Business Administration program, you must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and meet one of the following GPA requirements:
- Full standing admission: Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher (on a 4.00 scale) over at least 80 graded credits, or a GPA of 2.90 or higher during the last half of your undergraduate coursework.
- Probationary admission: Undergraduate GPA of 2.25 or higher (on a 4.00 scale) over at least 80 graded credits, and a GPA of 2.50 or higher during the last half of your undergraduate coursework.
If you do not meet these GPA requirements, you may still be considered for admission under special circumstances.
Additionally, you must satisfy one of the following prerequisites:
- Have two or more years of professional work experience, including internships, military service or work in a family business.
- Earned an AACSB-accredited undergraduate degree with a 3.5 GPA or higher, plus a letter of recommendation addressing your potential for success in graduate business education.
- Earned a graduate degree from a regionally accredited or equivalent institution.
How to Apply to the MBA Program
Along with meeting the admission prerequisites, when applying to the MBA program, you must:
- Complete the online application
- Submit official undergraduate transcripts
- Send test scores and/or evidence of professional certification (optional)
- Write a personal statement describing your goals and reasons for pursuing the MBA
- Submit a professional résumé

UWO’s MBA program uses rolling admissions, which means we accept and review applications as they’re submitted.
