Our caring faculty and staff are dedicated to providing top-quality academic programs. With more than 250 majors, minors and emphases, there are options for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transferring Credits to UW-Oshkosh<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For courses to count as UW-Oshkosh requirements, they must be similar in nature, level and content to a course in our undergraduate curriculum and applicable to one of our academic programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can see how your credits will transfer to UW-Oshkosh by using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transferology.com\/school\/uwosh\">Transferology<\/a>, a nationwide network that helps students explore their college transfer options. UW-Oshkosh uploads all of our transfer equivalences to help you determine how your credits will transfer. Create a free Transferology account, enter the coursework you&#8217;ve completed, then use the search to see how it transfers. If you have any questions, you can always contact us at admissions@uwosh.edu for help, or call (920) 424-3164.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can transfer credits from college-level coursework completed at colleges and universities that are accredited by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chea.org\/search\">regional accrediting organization<\/a> recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Institutions from outside of the United States must be recognized by the Ministry of Education in that country. Continuing education courses, graduate-level courses, and courses that are remedial, technical, vocational or doctrinal in nature are not transferable. Courses from non-accredited institutions may be reviewed by the appropriate university departments to determine transferability; contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwosh.edu\/admissions\/contact-us\/\">Admissions Office<\/a> for more information. Students can also find current UW-Oshkosh <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwosh.edu\/registrar\/transfer\/articulation-agreements\/\">articulation agreements.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to talk to one-on-one with a transfer counselor, schedule an in person or virtual appointment. A paper application may also be obtained from any high school guidance office in Wisconsin or by contacting the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwosh.edu\/admissions\/contact-us\/\">admissions office<\/a>.<br><br><em>There is no deadline for transfer applications. We have rolling admission and will process applications as they are received.<\/em><br><br>Students are required to list all post-secondary schools they have attended. Failure to list all previously attended schools is considered academic dishonesty. Failure to disclose and submit transcripts from all colleges attended, even if no transferable credit was earned, may result in denial of admission or dismissal from the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: Send your College\/University Transcripts<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Submit an official transcript directly from&nbsp;<strong>all colleges or universities previously attended<\/strong>. At UW-Oshkosh, we refer to our general education program as the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwosh.edu\/usp\/\">University Studies Program<\/a>&#8221; or &#8220;USP.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know that as a transfer student, your experiences are a bit different. You&#8217;re coming in with credits, or maybe even a full degree, so here&#8217;s a quick breakdown of the USP requirements you need to complete based on the number of credits you&#8217;re bringing with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Please not that transfer students are still required to meet all major, minor (if any) and degree requirements. The chart below refers to USP expectations only.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Number of Credits<\/th><th>Student Status<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>0-14<br>credits<\/td><td>You\u2019re still considered a first-year student and will be able to participate in all USP Quest and Connect courses. Any courses you\u2019ve taken previously will continue to transfer to UW\u2013Oshkosh, but the names of courses or course categories may differ slightly.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>15-59<br>credits<\/td><td>To help you get acclimated to campus, you are required to enroll&nbsp;in \u201cUSP 200,\u201d which is our Transition Year Experience. This is a 0-credit course that is completed online in Canvas during your first semester at UW\u2013Oshkosh. It will help you to learn more about campus resources, connect you with someone that can answer any questions, and give you weekly information about campus events. You are not required to complete any Quest courses or signature questions.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>60+ <br>credits &amp; completed <br>associate degree<\/td><td>Because you have more than 60 credits, you are not required to take the Quest sequence of courses or the Transition Year Experience. Admissions will determine what courses transfer and identify any courses you may need to complete.<br><br>If you\u2019ve already completed an approved associate degree from the state of Wisconsin, your USP requirements are automatically fulfilled. An Applied Associate degree, earned from a Wisconsin Technical College System school or a community college does not fulfill USP requirements.
