To participate in the program, a student must apply to both the local school board or private school and apply to UW Oshkosh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COSTS \u2013<\/strong> The benefit to this program is that the State of Wisconsin shares the fees and tuition cost of pre-approved college courses with the local school districts or private school, and the state and in some cases the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW DOES THIS DIFFER FROM CAPP OR AP COURSES?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">ECCP students attend college classes on campus, rather than on-site at their high schools. Compare all of the UW Oshkosh options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It is no surprise that UW Oshkosh is one of the top schools for ECCP high school students.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>6 Credits: <\/strong>On average ECCP students enroll in two course sections for six credits in a given year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Higher Success Rate: <\/strong>Taking college courses while still in high school generally leads to higher retention and graduation rates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"Section circles is-style-yellow\">\n  \n\n<div class=\"Common\">\n  \n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to Expect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our ECCP coordinator will help students navigate the application process and choose the right courses for you. Course approval and admittance into the program does not guarantee a seat in the course. Enrollment is based upon availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Student can search our class schedule to view what courses are available. We can walk you right through each step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-default\">#1 &#8211; Connect with your high school<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Talk with your high school counselor about your eligibility. Only the school district can approve a course for payment under ECCP. It is your responsibility to obtain all clearances for the enrollment from the high school. No payment should be submitted until the invoice is received.
